Urgent Community Appeal: Help Save a Young Life in Nha Trang

Angelina, a Year 3 student at AVE Academy, is currently fighting aplastic anemia, a rare and life-threatening condition that requires immediate and intensive medical treatment. She is undergoing care in Ho Chi Minh City, where doctors are working tirelessly to stabilize her condition.
What is Aplastic Anemia?
Aplastic anemia is a serious disorder in which the bone marrow fails to produce enough blood cells. This includes red blood cells (which carry oxygen), white blood cells (which fight infection), and platelets (which help blood clot).
Without these essential cells, the body becomes extremely vulnerable. Patients face severe fatigue, a high risk of infection, and uncontrolled bleeding. In many cases, without proper treatment, aplastic anemia can be fatal.
The most effective treatment for severe cases is a bone marrow transplant, a complex and costly procedure that offers the best chance of survival — especially for children.
Why This Matters
Angelina’s situation is critical. While she is receiving blood transfusions and immunosuppressive therapy, these are temporary measures. A bone marrow transplant is urgently needed to give her a real chance at recovery.
However, the cost of treatment is substantial. Like many families facing rare medical conditions, the financial burden is overwhelming.
