Mr. Bernardo Barata brings a broad background in sport, physical activity, and technology to AVE Academy’s PE and ICT classrooms. A volunteer across multiple countries in Asia and a man who has swum with whale sharks, he is as passionate about building healthy habits and resilience as he is about helping students develop practical, real-world digital skills.
Hello everyone, I’m Mr. Bernardo, and I’m excited to be teaching PE and ICT here at AVE Academy.
With a background in different areas of sport and physical activity, I believe PE is about much more than developing physical skills. My goal is to help students discover the enjoyment of being active and build healthy habits, confidence, teamwork, discipline, and resilience they can carry throughout their lives.
In ICT, I enjoy creating practical, engaging lessons that encourage students to explore technology, solve problems, and build skills they can use both inside and outside the classroom.
Most importantly, I want my students to leave my lessons with a positive relationship with movement, learning, making mistakes, and challenging themselves to improve.
