Mr. Willem brings over eight years of international and public school teaching experience to AVE Academy, along with a genuine belief that every day in the classroom should feel like a new adventure. His background in ESL gives him a sharp understanding of how to build confidence in young learners, and his enthusiasm for getting students curious and thinking for themselves is something his classes feel from day one.

I have been teaching for over eight years, working with students of all ages across both international and public schools. Throughout that time, one thing has stayed constant: I believe the best learning happens when students feel safe enough to ask questions, brave enough to make mistakes, and proud enough to keep going.
I have a strong background in ESL and love helping young learners build confidence in their English while developing the curiosity and skills they need to grow. In our classroom, every question is a good question, every effort counts, and kindness is non-negotiable.
My goal this year is simple: to make sure every student in Year 2 feels seen, supported, and excited to learn.
